Seattle's award-winning Canlis is where I can be found each Friday and Saturday, from 6:30 to 11. I recently cut back to these two nights (from five), in order to buy some time to finish my long-promised new recordings. This does feel crazy in a way, because this fabulous restaurant is currently the rage here in Seattle; but it's a longterm relationship, and the wonderfully supportive Canlis brothers, Mark and Brian, and I are just calling it a 'semi-sabbatical".

This place is all about hospitality, beauty, and creativity; it's my delight to provide a "soundtrack" for the gracefully choreographed service, Chef Jason Franey's awe-inspiring dishes and Bar Manager James MacWilliams' exceptionally inventive cocktails. Stop by! You can just drop in to the lounge, sit near the piano, and choose from an irresistible array of appetizers, wines, drinks - or a full dinner.
